Studying the intersections between traditional (public service) and new media, the Baltic-Nordic media conference will feature media experts, programme managers, and heads of news sections at KUMU in Tallinn from 11-12 June. The media conference was arranged by The Nordic Council of Ministers` Office in Estonia, Nordic Public Service Media Broadcasters and Estonian Public Broadcasting.
Being part of the creative industries lecture series, this media conference will provoke central issues. Who needs public service media, when anyone can create content? File-sharing - good, bad or worse? Who will pay for the content in the future?
Topics will be probed by media experts, news directors, and programme managers from Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Estonia. In addition to the scandalous Robert Wallis, one will hear ICT company Ericsson elaborating on new media behaviours.
