Why do we need the democracy festivals?

For the past 11 years, people who care about Estonia and the world have gathered in the second weekend of August in Paide to create a better understanding of themselves, each other and the world via balanced debates under the name of the Opinion Festival. We asked the current leader of the Opinion Festival and the representatives of the Nordic Council of Ministers, which is the organiser of several debates, why we need democracy festivals.
