Rohemajandus ja kestlik areng
Põhjamaade valitsused on seadnud ambitsioonika sihi – muuta piirkond Euroopas puhta energia ja keskkonnatehnoloogiate testimislavaks. See puudutab kliimamuutustega kohanemist, nende mõju vähendamist, taastuvenergiat, rohelise majanduskasvu kiirendamist, säästvamat liikumiskorraldust. Aga laiemalt ka bioloogilise mitmekesisuse tagamist, rohelist tootmistsüklit, ressursi taaskasutust jpm.
Põhjamaade ja Eesti poliitikud, eksperdid ja ametnikud selgitavad välja ühiseid kavatsusi keskkonna, kliima ja energia vallas peamiselt kohtumistel ja konverentsidel ning ühiste analüüside, uuringute kaudu.
Selle valdkonna ettevõtmised on kulukad ja nende mõju kaugeleulatuv, mistõttu on kooskõlastamine ja koostöö iseäranis olulised. Olgu selleks keskkonnainvesteeringud, taastuvenergia toetusskeemid või rohelise majanduse ergutamine. Meie toetame kliima-, keskkonna- ja energiaküsimustega tegelevaid asutusi Põhjamaades ja Eestis partnerina neis ettevõtmistes.
2011. aastal, mil tähistasime oma 20. tegevusaastat Eestis, algatasime keskkonnafoorumi Rohevik, mis vaatab tulevikku, milleni viib säästev ja keskkonnasõbralik eluviis Põhja- ja Baltimaades. Tutvustame Eestis ka Põhjamaade ühist keskkonnamärgist Luike.
Püüame ka oma igapäevatöös keskkonda säästvalt tegutseda. Selleks oleme vastu võtnud kontori keskkonnapoliitika. Lisaks koostame igal aastal keskkonnapoliitika aruannet.
