The Nordic embassies in Estonia and the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Estonia have the pleasure to invite friends to a Nordic Midsummer Party on 11 June 2015 at 18:00-21:00 in the Estonian Open Air Museum in Tallinn.

Although Nordic countries share similar culture, history and even some traditions which makes it often easier to work together, each and every Nordic country have their own specific characteristics that make them unique. This is also the case with midsummer.

Just to give you a hint how it could be, you can learn about the Swedish midsummer:

juu jaab logoOur Nordic Midsummer Party includes the best of traditions: maypole, bonfire, music & singing & dancing, games, food & beverages.

upt uus3The Nordic cuisine has nailed the Nordic region, its culture, nature and lifestyle on the world map. Modern Nordic food is produced with care and with a focus on local ingredients, taste and diversity, forgotten varieties and breeds, old processing methods and new ideas in the kitchen. A vision which now resonates from exclusive gourmet restaurants down to school canteens and private kitchens.

Estonian food culture is similar to that of the Nordic countries in many ways. Estonian chefs seek inspiration in New Nordic Food and Estonia is informed and included in the activities of the Nordic food culture programme in order to create new cooperation networks in the Baltic Sea region.

At our joint Nordic Midsummer Party you can enjoy the fusion of modern Nordic cuisine with local Estonian touch. You can taste both traditional Nordic specialties and exciting endeavours.

Beer and cider will be provided by Saku.
