The Nordic Literature Week, taking place on November 11th to 17th, is a read aloud event, where the same Nordic literature related to a chosen theme is read out loud at the same time across the Nordic and Baltic countries, as well as other Nordic institutions around the world.

The theme for 2019 is ´Celebration in the Nordics´ with the aim to celebrate some true Nordic classics.

Books to be read this year are:

  • ´Pippi Longstocking´ by Astrid Lindgren
  • ´Sophie’s World´ by Josten Gaarder
  • ´Babette’s Feast´ by Karen Blixen
