Nordic Literature Week: Heroes in the Nordics Finished
Contact info: Eha Vain (eha.vain@norden.ee)
The Nordic Literature Week is a read aloud event, where the same Nordic literature related to a chosen theme is read out loud at the same time across the Nordic and Baltic countries, as well as other Nordic institutions around the world.
This year, children, youth and adults are invited to meet the heroes of Nordic literature. The yearly theme of the Nordic Literature Week is used as a common feature that runs through the chosen read aloud books, the Literature Week’s activities as well as the events.
Books read at this year´s Literature Week:
- Childrens book – ´Handbook for superheroes´, written by the Swedish couple Elias and Agnes Våhlund
- Youth Literature – ´Those who don’t exist´, by Norwegian writer Simon Stranger
- Adult Literature – ´Icelandic Kings`, by Icelandic writer Einar Már Guðmundsson
