Going for Green Growth in the Baltic Sea Region Finished

The conference is organized by the European Commission DG Regional Policy in cooperation with INTERACT, Nordic Council of Ministers Secretariat in cooperation with the NCM Office’s in Riga, and Baltic Development Forum (BDF).

The objectives of the conference are to:

1. Provide an overview of transnational green growth initiatives, programs and projects in the Baltic Sea Region.
2. Identify opportunities and policy implications for realizing synergies between these activities.
3. Provide recommendations for how the EU Strategy and Action Plan for the Baltic Sea Region could further accelerate green growth – and thereby make a significant contribution to the EU 2020 Strategy.
4. Accelerate the participation of the private sector in regional cooperation efforts in the Baltic Sea Region.
