As part of the
Nordic festival being held in Tartu in May 2011, a photographic exhibition will give admirers of the art the chance to enjoy some stunning scenes of the life and nature of Nordic islands.
The exhibition is being organised under the aegis of the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Ofiice in Estonia and will include the work of four photographers. Renowned traveller and nature lover Fred Jüssi will take us to Iceland to admire the country’s waterfalls and geysers and feel the power of the land; Toomas Lapp‘s photos will improvise with the colours of Greenland; Grete Kodi will be showcasing the tones characteristic of the landscape of the Faeroe Islands; and Swedish photographer Göte Ask will picture the stone fences of Gotland.
